Continuing Carl Hansen & Søn’s legacy of purposeful design, uncompromising craftsmanship and timeless aesthetics, the new MO Series by Mads Odgård illuminates spaces with comfort and simplicity. The series is the result of a study in light technology, investigating the ways in which light imparts a sense of well-being. Stripped of superfluous details, the table, pendant, floor and wall lamps in powder coated steel are formed with sleek, cylindrical rods and hemispherical shades that mimic the shape of the sun to cast light naturally in all directions. The Danish industrial designer Mads Odgård (b. 1960) is known for his minimalistic design approach with straight lines, geometric shapes and rationalism. Throughout his career, he has created industrial designs based on reductive principles, always asking himself whether anything he has drawn is superfluous
